Optical Applications for Infrared Temperature Measurement

The application of infrared technology in infrared thermometry (lnfrered Themomety) is based on a basic principle: all objects will emit infrared radiation according to their mixing, infrared thermometers use this principle, by detecting the infrared radiation emitted by the surface of the object to measure its temperature, without direct contact with the object. This non-contact measurement method has many advantages, including speed, safety and convenience, so it is widely used in many fields.

Common Infrared Thermometers for Infrared Temperature Measurement

Infrared thermometers usually include an infrared detector and an optical system. Optical systems, such as lenses, are used to focus the infrared radiation emitted by the target object, which is then converted into electrical signals by infrared detectors. After these electrical signals are processed, they are converted into temperature readings and displayed on the screen of the thermometer.

Application field of infrared temperature measurement

a. Medical health: infrared temperature measurement technology is widely used in the medical field, especially in rapid temperature detection. Devices such as the red outer ear warm gun and the frontal warm gun are able to quickly and noninvasively measure human temperature.

b. Industrial monitoring: In the industrial production process, infrared temperature measurement technology is used to monitor the temperature of equipment and production processes to ensure production efficiency and product quality. For example, it can be used to monitor the temperature of motors, bearings and circuit boards. 3. Food safety: In the process of food processing and storage, the use of infrared temperature measurement technology can quickly detect the surface temperature of food to ensure food safety and quality.

c. Building inspection: Infrared temperature measurement technology can be used to detect heat loss in buildings, find insulation defects and moisture penetration problems, thereby improving energy efficiency and residential comfort.

d. Scientific research: In the field of scientific research, infrared temperature measurement technology is used to observe and measure temperature changes in various physical, chemical and biological processes.
